Gunsmoke

Gunsmoke is a long-running 1950’s radio program mostly about Marshal Matt Dillon trying to keep law and order in Dodge City, Kansas during the post civil war era. This is another of those radio shows conjured up along with shows like Dragnet and Your’s Truly Johnny Dollar (among others) when thinking about really classic Old Time Radio.

Gunsmoke ran from 1952 – 1961 and was praised for it’s all-around high production qualities.
