Angel and the Badman

This little Romantic Western film, starring none other than THE John Wayne, is all about the recovery of Quirt Evans (John Wayne). Quirt is a pretty bad notorious gunman kind of guy, not a very likable guy. While wounded and on the run, Quirt (I love that name) eventually makes it to a Quaker family’s land, where he collapses from exhaustion. The local doctor advises they rid themselves of the gunman, even if his life is at risk.

While in recovery, Quirt Evans learns all about the Quaker family’s non-violent credo from Penny Worth, the attractive young woman who had been tending to him. They soon become invested in each other.

It’s right about then when two desperadoes come around looking for Quirt Evans.
